What Religion?
Do you think religions should be in school? I don’t think religion should be expressed in school. I’ll give you three reasons why it shouldn’t. The first one is that there are two major religions in schools such as Christianity and Islam in school and it may start up fights. Is it okay to pray in school without having anyone saying something to you? Lastly the reason religion shouldn’t be acknowledged in school because it’s constitutional.
Why are they so many different religions? Well Islam and Christianity are two out of three closely related religions. The reasons why I say that because I believe that it is only one God Muslims use a different name. When I was sitting in class two of my fellow peers was having a deep discussion on how they feel about religion in school. The first student was saying how there was only one God but at the time she was speaking she was also saying how I quote “people believe in this person called Allah or whatever his name is”. The second person got clearly upset because of course she is Muslims and she practices Islam and since that is her religion I quote “ excuse me his name is Allah and how are you going to say something like that.” Do you see what happens when two religions clash because they have different opinions on how they feel?
My second argument is it okay for students to pray in school without anything being said to them? Yes its okay because it goes back to freedom of speech students have a right to pray, In fact the U.S. Constitution it is a protected form of free speech. A student can pray on the school bus, in the corridors, in the cafeteria, and elsewhere on school grounds. They can even pray silently before and after class in the classroom. They are not allowed to pray solely however; I think its right for student to express their religion belief.
My last argument is religion shouldn’t be acknowledged in school because it’s unconstitutional. The reason why I said this because you cant tell students that they have to pray a certain way because each religion has there different way of praying. Also that there are so different religions and they have different customs them so if you are Muslim you wear garments. I think religion shouldn’t be in school because it with that it starts different fights. .
